Supporting people and ideas

The network of Vodafone foundations

The family of Vodafone foundations is as international as the Vodafone Group itself. As well as the Vodafone Foundation in the UK, there are 27 other foundations which operate independently in tackling social challenges in their respective countries. The Vodafone Foundation was launched in 2002. It was founded by Vodafone Group Plc. Since being established, it has spent more than GBP 100 million on social projects. As part of its work, the Foundation supports projects and institutions across the world that provide rapid and unbureaucratic disaster relief. These include the United Nations Foundation, Oxfam, Télécoms Sans Frontières and MapAction. This sort of commitment is part of the Vodafone Foundation’s contribution towards establishing an active civil society.
